Meet Our Team:

Joe Cusamano

Joe Cusamano is a nervous system–focused healing coach, educator, and founder of HealFlip. After experiencing his own 20+ year journey with Chronic Lyme, Long-Covid, and nervous system dysregulation, Joe became deeply committed to understanding how the brain, body, and nervous system interact in the healing process. His work is rooted in the belief that healing doesn’t come from fighting the body, but from building safety, awareness, and trust over time.

Joe blends principles from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), nervous system regulation, brain retraining, and lifestyle-based healing to help people step out of chronic stress, fear, and symptom cycles. Through his work with HealFlip, he teaches clients how to regulate their nervous system, rewire unhelpful patterns, rebuild capacity, and reconnect with a meaningful life—even while symptoms are present. His approach is practical, compassionate, and grounded in lived experience.

With a background in health and wellness and a master’s in nutrition, he brings both science and humanity into his work while helping people move from feeling stuck and dysregulated to feeling empowered, resilient, and capable of becoming their own best healer.

Whitney Rydman

Whitney Rydman is a nervous-system–informed, mindbody expert with a uniquely broad perspective on what truly helps people recover. After navigating psych med withdrawal, POTS, chronic fatigue, anxiety, agoraphobia, depression, anhedonia, chronic pelvic pain, and nearly a hundred symptoms over the course of her healing journey, Whitney understands this work from the inside out.

Her recovery began when she shifted from chasing protocols to understanding the nervous system itself — somatic work, fear conditioning, and the brain’s learning mechanisms. Through allowing, safety-building, and changing her relationship with sensations, she rebuilt her life and health in a way that was never possible through traditional approaches.

Alongside her personal healing, Whitney runs a design and branding studio specializing in working with leading voices in the mindbody space. This gives her a rare, high-level view of the entire field — what’s effective, what actually moves the needle, and the patterns that show up across thousands of stories, practitioners, and frameworks. She brings that wide-angle perspective directly into her work with Heal Club.

Whitney supports the group with grounded, practical nervous-system insight and lived experience that helps people reduce fear, understand their symptoms, and build genuine safety in their bodies. She leads one of Heal Club’s weekly calls and offers a clear, compassionate, no-nonsense approach to recovery rooted in curiosity, connection, and the science of how the brain rewires.
